PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control element which cannot be inserted in a direction being different from a normal mounting direction. SOLUTION: CPU 1 consists of a nearly rectangular solid main body part 2 incorporating an integrated circuit or the like and multiple hook shape terminals 3, 3... which are arranged in its both long side parts. A recession 4 is curved on one side surface of the two short sides in the main body 2. Columnar projections 5 being longer than the terminals 3 are projectingly arranged near the recession 4 from the center of the rear surface side (control substrate side) of the part 2. In the meantime, a ladder shape socket 7 where connecting ports 9, 9... are projectingly arranged is disposed at positions corresponding to the terminals 3 on a control substrate 6. Then, escape openings 8 are piercingly arranged at the positions corresponding to the projections 5.
