PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ladder fixing device improved in safety of electric engineering work by constituting such that a ladder is fixed to an electric pole when it is leaned to the pole, and is removed by pulling a rope from the ground. SOLUTION: This ladder fixing device includes a first electric pole grasping member 14 placed at the distal end of a sliding shaft 12 provided on a frame, and a second electric pole grasping member 24 attached at both side distal ends of a frame via a first link 22, thereby connecting both the ends of the first grasping member 14 and the intermediate point of the first link 22 by a second link 25. The sliding shaft 12 is supported by a bearing metal piece 13, and a compression spring 15 is interposed between the first grasping member 14 and the bearing metal piece 13. Further, a torsional plate 16 and compression spring 17 are fitted in the bearing metal piece 13, and a rope 18 extends from a free end of the torsional plate 16. When a ladder is leaned to an electric pole, the grasping members 14, 24 work to grasp the electric pole, and the ladder is removed by pulling the rope so as to release grasped relation.
