PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively obtain a polyamine composition in high yield in an industrial scale having various bioactivity useful for medicine or the like by collecting polyamine from digesting the content of yeast with nuclease or hydrolyzing with alkali. SOLUTION: The subject polyamine composition comprising spermidine, spermine or the like useful for nourishment composition, gastrin releasing inhibitor composition for intake, immunoactivable agents or the like, is obtained effectively in high yield and in an industrial scale by inoculating the yeast in a culturing medium, culturing at 30 deg.C for 48 hours under ventilation and agitation, collecting the culture fungus by a centrifugal separation of cultured solution, extracting the content of the yeast under the condition of 4.8% NaCl concentration, pH 6.0, at 95 deg.C for 3.5 hours, digesting the extract with a nuclease included in the content of the yeast or the like or hydrolyzing with alkali, adsorbing the polyamine by passing the extract through a column packed with a cation-exchanging resin, washing the column, eluting and collecting the polyamine.
