PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a surface-protective film good in adhesion in the initial stage of its application to an adherend, and after a lapse of time, easily releasable from the adherend, and developing neither stain, adhesive transfer nor tier- like pattern. SOLUTION: This surface-protective film is obtained by integratedly laminating a tack agent layer with a substrate layer of a thermoplastic resin, wherein the tack agent layer is made from (1) 20-50 wt.% of a block copolymer of the general formula A-(B-A)n or (A-B)m ((n) and (m) are each an integer of >=1; A is a styrene-based compound polymer block; B is a conjugated diene compound polymer block) and (2) 80-50 wt.% of a hydrogenated diene-based copolymer prepared by hydrogenating a (C)-(D)-(E) block copolymer composed of (C) a styrene-based compound polymer block, (D) a conjugated diene compound polymer block or a random copolymer block of a styrene-based compound and a conjugated diene compound, and (E) a tapered block of the styrene-based compound and the conjugated diene compound with the styrene-based compound increasing gradually.
