PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently eliminate a problem such as a white hollow stripe in a recorded image and to achieve versatile controlling of thermal energy in a simple structure by a method wherein the thermal energy in the thermal transferring is varied corresponding to the paper quality as needed. SOLUTION: There is disclosed a facsimile device wherein each of heat energizing points 12aa to which thermal energy is applied in a thermal transfer mode is controlled to be driven, then a recording image to be transferred to each of various types of sheets of paper is treated. The facsimile device comprises a driving IC 12b that outputs a strobe signal for making each of the heat energizing points 12aa to be in an ON state, a temperature sensor 12c for detecting a temperature of the heat energizing point 12aa, an EEPROM 6 that stores an energy curve indicative of a correspondence relationship between an energizing time period at a time when the strobe signal is outputted and the temperature of the heat energizing point 12aa with respect to each type of sheet of paper and a CPU 1 that controls the energizing time period in accordance with the energy curve with respect to one type of sheet of paper stored in the EEPROM.
