<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption of a picture processor so that the circuit scale of the processor can be reduced by providing at least three ADD- converting means which ADD-convert picture signals constituted of primary colors or complementary colors in parallel and assigning at least two of the three ADDconverting means for the A/D conversion of luminance signals. CONSTITUTION:At least three A/D-converting means 22R, 22G, and 22B which A/D-convert picture signals constituted of primary colors or complementary colors in parallel are provided and at least two of the three means are assigned to the A/D conversion of luminance signals. Accordingly, the plural converting means 22R, 22G, and 22B can be utilized efficiently and substantially high-speed A/D conversion can be performed with a low-speed A/D-converting means. Therefore, the circuit scale and power consumption of this picture processor can be reduced and the size of the power supply system of the processor can also be reduced.</p> |
