<p>PURPOSE: To prevent multiple feed which may be generated at the time of feeding paper sheets stacked on the first paper feed cassette and paper sheets placed on a conveyance unit positioned above the former paper sheet with one paper sheet feed roller common to them. CONSTITUTION: A paper sheet feed roller 13 of D shape when viewed from the side is fixed onto a paper sheet feed shaft 47 which rotates intermittently, at the side of which a paper sheet feed stopper 48 which rotates integrally is mounted. A locking protrusion part 49 in the paper sheet feed stopper 48 is disposed so as to be directed in the identical direction to the non-contact part 13b of the paper sheet feed roller 13, and the front end of the paper sheet P placed on the conveyance unit 30 is inhibited from going forward, thus prevent the front end of the paper sheet P from being fed in a condition overlapped with the rear end part of the paper sheet P stacked on the receiving plate 9 of the first paper sheet feed cassette 5.</p> |
