<p>The cap has a shaft (3) with a pair of pins (12) projecting radially from opposed sides. The shaft passes through a pair of bushes (4), (5) which enclose a sleeve (6) and has a lower plate (7) which, when the lever is actuated, rises to compress the rubber bush (4) and seal the passage of the container. The shaft passes through an external cap (2) and the sleeve (6) and cap (2) have inner axial grooves which allow the pins to pass. The pins are passed through U shaped slots in the side walls of the hollow lever and are lodged in the bottom of the slots (13). The lower edges of the side walls bear on the top of the cap and when the lever is manually pivoted about the pins the shaft is raised and the bush compressed.</p> |
