SUBSTANCE: transformable bicycle has pedal drives, brake system and frame consisting of front, middle and rear sections or of front and rear sections. Saddle and front pedal drive are mounted on front section of frame in addition to handlebar and front wheel. Double-seater has pedal drive mounted on middle section, and rear section saddle is made detachable. Nontransformable bicycle has nonsplit frame. Height H of mounting of at least one saddle above surface, along which wheels of transformable and nontransformable bicycles roll, is found from equation H = L(1-Ko) where L is distance from wheel drive pedal with pedal in furthest position from saddle to middle of saddle surface, and Ko is nondimenstional coefficient whose values lie within 0.01 and 0.14. Front part of saddle surface can be furnished with two members deflectable upwards and downwards in opposite directions and coupled by unit made for fixing in operating position at riding and no fixing at starting, stopping and maneuvering. Bicycle can be furnished with saddle position adjuster for realization of different modes of change of coefficient Ko. EFFECT: provision of easy and reliable thrusting against earth by feet when restoring balance, conventional and rational transforming of bicycle. 9 cl, 9 dwg
