SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of preparing edges for welding along straight generatrix with opening angle 35-37 degrees relative to vertical axis; forming root seam 3 by means of manual argon-arc welding on corrosion-resistant layer 2 from austenite class steels at supplying argon only from outer side of seam at welding current equal to (180-210)A.
