railway transport; permanent way; ties. SUBSTANCE: proposed tie has reinforcement 1 and device for increasing resistance to tie displacement across and along track. Device is fitted on end sections of tie, being formed by T-shaped members 3 in plan connected by vertical flanges to plates for replacement in case of necessity. Plates are made integral with tie and are located at both sides of each tie. Lower part of horizontal flange of each T-shaped member 3 is located below tie lower surface.
