<p>Waste mainly consisting of one or two or more of garbage, waste lumber, paper diaper, waste plastics and organic sludge discharged from food industries and general households is exposed to a high-temperature steam of 510 to 900 <o_>C in an anoxic condition, for carbonizing, while preferably the waste is agitated, whereby it is possible to reduce the volume of waste safely and efficiently without producing noxious substances such as dioxin and to effectively use the carbonized waste for fuel or the like.</p> |
