<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an MPEG decoder that can process all PTS/DTS even on the occurrence of consecutive PTS/DTS attached data. SOLUTION: The MPEG decoder demultiplexer is provided with a system decoder 11 that changes a start code ID of PTS/DTS attached picture data in a video elementary stream into a start code ID not in use in a video layer, outputs the changed ID and latches the PTS/DTS attached data and the start code ID not in use as indices, a memory controller 12 that stores the video elementary stream to a memory 13, reads and outputs it, and a video decoder 14 that detects that the video elementary stream has the start code ID not in use at the start of decoding the video elementary stream to interrupt a processing unit and outputs a picture being a decoding result in response to an instruction from the processing unit on the basis of this interruption.</p> |
