PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spring connector enabling a uniform plating layer to be formed on an inner surface of its tube and excellent in durability. SOLUTION: Nickel plating and gold plating are given in layers to a tube 20 having a large opening in one end thereof and provided with a small through hole 22 in the other end. In the tube 20 having such a shape, its interior communicates with the exterior at its both ends and therefore plating liquid easily enters the interior and is easily exhausted therefrom. Plating liquid surely flows into the interior of the tube 20, thereby enabling a uniform plating layer to be formed, and the plating liquid is easily exhausted by rinsing without remaining there, therefore both the number of times of rinsing and rinsing time can be reduced. The plating layer on an inner surface of the tube 20 can be uniformly thickened. A coil spring 12 is inserted in the tube 20 from its opening end and compressed, a plunger 14 is inserted therein, and the plunger 20 is adapted so that it can project and retract with its one end part projecting outward but without slipping out, by providing a constriction part on the opening end of the tube 20.
