PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely prevent an erroneous diagnosis regarding the fault of a pump, and accurately and securely diagnose the fault of the pump by providing a metal sensor for detecting the amount of wear of metal of the pump, a flow sensor for detecting the flow rate of the pump, or the like. SOLUTION: A pump fault-diagnosing device is equipped with a metal sensor (chip detector) 24, and a flow sensor 25. The metal sensor 24 detects the amount of wear of metal settling inside a hydraulic pump 12, and the inside wear of the hydraulic pump 12 is detected according to the amount of wear of metal. A fault decision means 23 is equipped with a threshold setting means, a correction detection value calculation means, and a decision means. The correction detection value calculation means obtains a correction detection value where the detection value of one of the metal and flow sensors 24 and 25 is added to a correction value where the detection value of the other is used as a parameter. The judgement means compares the correction detection value with a threshold from a threshold setting means, and decides whether the pump 12 is out of order or not according to the comparison result.
