<p>The invention relates to a method for treating an oil using a liquid in a supercritical state. The invention relates more specifically to a method for refining an oil in order to separate the pollutants therefrom and to recover a refined oil. The inventive method makes it possible to treat organic, biological and mineral oils and can be used to re-refine petroleum oils, especially used engine oils, using CO2 in a supercritical state. The inventive method essentially comprises an initial stage, wherein the oil is brought into contact with a liquid in a supercritical state in order to separate a light fraction, a heavy fraction and an intermediate majority fraction, followed by treatment of the intermediate fraction in separation and/or reaction stages, whereby said stages are carried out in the presence of the liquid in a supercritical state.</p> |
