PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recorder capable of always obtaining accurate calibration result by informing of calibration accuracy. SOLUTION: A density difference between the measured density value of each patch of a test chart image recorded on photosensitive material by an automatic calibrator and the target density of each patch based on test chart image data is calculated. Based on the calculated density difference in each patch, the accuracy (per cent value) of the correction of printer LUT(lookup table) is obtained according to decision reference stored in a ROM. The accuracy of the correction is compared with previously set target accuracy so as to decide the propriety of the calibration. When the accuracy of the correction is within the target accuracy, a message showing that the result of the correction is good is displayed on the display of an image processing part and calibration processing is finished. When the accuracy of the correction gets out of the target accuracy, a message showing the result of the correction is not good is displayed on the display of the image processing part. |
