A heat exchanger (1) comprising tubes (2) having coolant flow path therein, fins provided between the tubes, and header pipes (3, 4) in which tube end parts laminated alternatively with the tubes (2) and fins (5) are inserted and which supplies and receives coolant, wherein a method of manufacturing a tube for the heat exchanger comprises the steps of forming the tubes (2) in flat by connecting the end part of a plate, providing a connection part (2a) having the plate end part bent to increase its wall thickness over the other parts, and providing the connection part of the tubes (2) on the upstream side in a ventilating direction.
