PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance reliability in the malfunctioning time of a power conversion system by outputting a command for opening the output disconnecting switch of a single-phase power converter, in response to a malfunction detecting signal, and a command for closing a bypass switch as well. SOLUTION: When an IGBT 3a of a cell inverter 1a is short-circuited and is detected by a detector 6, and a malfunction detecting signal 15a is outputted, an output disconnecting switch 4 and an input disconnecting switch 5 are opened together. In addition, if a malfunction signal 15a is inputted to a control device 13, the malfunctioning cell inverter 1a is recognized, and PWM control signals 14wa-14wd, 14va-14vd, 14ua-14ud are cut off, and all IGBTs are cut off once. After that, a bypass switch making signal 16wa is outputted after the passage of a set time, and a bypass switch 7a of the malfunctioning cell inverter 1a is made, and PWM control signals are outputted to sound cell inverters to restart them. Consequently, it becomes possible to have the malfunctioning-time reliability improved. |
