PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform, through simple constitution proper treatment of boil-off gas(BOG), generated during storage of LNG. SOLUTION: While LNG is being stored in a plurality of LNG storage tanks 10a and 10b, a generating boil off gas(BOG) is fed to a BOG compressor through a BOG piping 18 for treatment. During midnight in which the demand for BOG is low, an LNG transfer pump 11 is operated, and LNG is transferred from the LNG storage tank 10a to the LNG storage tank 10b. LNG flows in the receiving port 9 of a funnel pipe 15 through the tip of a feed pipe 14. The periphery of the receiving port 9 is sealed in an airtightly by a closing device 16 and BOG is guided via a flow rate control valve 17, after its guidance through a BOG piping 18. BOG is rolled in inflow LNG and discharged to a position lower a liquid level in the LNG storage tank 10b through a discharge port 5 at the lower end of the funnel pipe 15. A generated amount of BOG increases with the lapse of time. A timing at which BOG is sucked and discharged is matched with the timing for demand to effect proper treatment.
