PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the industrial production of multidomain system liquid crystal display cells by adopting the constitution to automatically and continuously execute respective stages for mounting liquid crystal display element cells of unoriented liquid crystal molecules to voltage impressing means, recovering of the liquid crystal display cells with which the orientation is completed from the voltage impressing means, etc. SOLUTION: At the time of the orientation of the liquid crystal molecules of the multidomain system display element cells, the respective stages of mounting of the liquid crystal display element cell of the unoriented liquid crystal molecules to the voltage impressing means, heating of the liquid crystal display element cells, impressing of voltage to the liquid crystal display element cells, cooling of the liquid crystal display element cells, irradiating of the liquid crystal display element cells with UV rays, releasing of the voltage impressed to the liquid crystal display element cells and recovering of the liquid crystal display element cells with which the orientation is completed from the voltage impressing means are automatically and continuously executed. The apparatus for production consists of a cell loading station 1, voltage impressing jigs 7, a heating and cooling station 2, a UV irradiation station 3, etc. The cell loading station consists of a transfer device 8, cassette rotating mechanism, etc. |
