<p>A piezoelectric vibration device comprises a vibration element section (1), a vibration propagation section (2) made of the same material thicker than the vibration element section (1), a groove (6) along the boundary between the vibration element section (1) and the vibration propagation element section (1) and the vibration propagation section (2), oscillation electrodes (3) provided oppositely on the front and rear surfaces of the vibration element section (1), a connecting electrode (4) provided on the vibration propagation section (2), and an external lead-out electrode (5) electrically connecting with the connecting electrode (4). The piezoelectric vibration device has an overtone mode as its principal mode in which the wavelength in the thickness direction is (2n+1) (n is a natural number) times that in the lowest mode when the lowest mode is the first or second mode.</p> |
