The connector comprises of a convention connector (3) that is connected to the two cable elements (1,2). These are encased by a housing assembly (4) that comprises of a support (6) that is fixed to the connector. An end face (8) is carried by the support that is generally orthogonal in configuration. An enclosure (5) is adapted to engage the support element such that the connection is formed.
