The sensor includes: - a container partially filled with a fluid (12); - a longitudinal measuring unit (2), immersed in the fluid, including a conductor designed to generate a first magnetic field; - a permanent magnet (4) connected to a guide (23) sliding along the measuring unit (2) under the action of a float, and; - a converter (3) which transforms a mechanical wave, caused by micro-striction phenomena, between the first magnetic field and the permanent magnet (4) into a signal proportional to the distance between the converter (3) and the magnet (4). The sensor includes at least two floats (21,22) fixed to the magnet and designed to forms means which prevent jamming of the magnet (4) and the measuring part (2). The two floats (21,22) are connected to the permanent magnet (4) in at least two points on an arm (24).
