<p>The invention relates to a device for slowing down a movement of relative rotation between two elements around a specific longitudinal axis (5). A sleeve (4) that is made of an elastically compressible material is placed in a pre-stressed state of radial elastic compression between two respective cylindrical peripheral surfaces (15,29) that are connected to one respective element at least in relation to a rotation around an axis (5) in order to create braking friction with at least one (15) of said surfaces (15,29). The invention can be especially used to exert a braking effect upon the lid of an ash try, glove compartment or folding handle in a motor vehicle.</p> |
