PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the erroneous stoppage of a movable filter, to make a movable filter device small in size, to obtain the device at a low cost and to improve the operability of the device, as for the movable filter device incorporated in a video camera etc. SOLUTION: The device is constituted of an ND filter 1, a rotary plate 2 on which the ND filter 1 is fixed, a holding plate 3 for holding the rotary plate 2 so that the plate 2 may be rotated around a rotary shaft P, a 1st positioning pin 6a and a 2nd positioning pins 6b fixed on the holding plate 3, and a torsion coil spring 4. As for the torsion coil spring 4, one end is connected to the holding plate 3, and the other end is connected to the rotary plate 2 so that a force for enlarging a distance between both ends may be applied. As for the rotary plate 2, notched parts 2a and 2b are formed along the outer periphery near parts coming into contact with the positioning pins 6a and 6b. The rotary plate 2 is prevented from stopping at positions other than a prescribed position by the torsion coil spring 4, and an abutting impact is absorbed by the notched parts 2a and 2b, then, the good operability is obtained.
