PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive optical fiber cable that is light, has small frictional force during force feed of air or traction in a conduit, by providing a sheath with a two-layer structure comprising a foam layer having no lubricant and a filled layer that is formed on the outer periphery of the foam layer and has a lubricant. SOLUTION: This optical fiber cable 10 is constituted with an optical fiber core wire unit 11, a foam layer 12 having no lubricant provided on the outer periphery of the optical fiber core wire unit 11, and a full layer 13 that is formed on the outer periphery of the foam layer 12 and has a lubricant. In other words, a sheath 14 has a two-layer structure comprising the foam layer 12 as an inner layer and the full layer 13 as an outer layer. The optical fiber cable 10 can be entirely reduced in weight by foaming the inner layer the sheath 14 to form the foam layer 12, and therefore, frictional force with a pipe during force feed of air and traction force during traction in a conduit are reduced. In addition, the lubricant is added to only the full layer 13 of the sheath 14, and therefore, addition amount of the lubricant is reduced.
