摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase flexibility, reduce curvature, and simplify handling, by collecting light to one multi-mode optical fiber by bundling a plurality of optical fibers and using a condensing lens system. SOLUTION: Light going out of a multi-mode semiconductor laser is collected to a multi-mode optical fiber 1 doped with germanium. For example, nine optical fibers 1 formed by integrating a multi-mode semiconductor with the multi-mode optical fiber are tightly bundled in a bundle shape. These are condensed by a substantially unmagnified imaging lens system 4 to a multi-mode optical fiber 8 doped with germanium. In this case, quantity of light can be measured by arranging, for example, a light receiving element 6A at a part of the unmagnified imaging lens system 4, and a desired quantity of light can be easily adjusted even during an operation. When it is arranged at the 6B position, reflection amount of quantity of light becomes large from a reference state when flaw or defective occurs on the end surface of the fiber 1, and situation of the end surface of the fiber 1 can be recognized.
