PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a checker capable of discriminating the connection state of each single wire of a multi-cable speedily with a simple method. SOLUTION: Serial codes of plural bits are assigned successively to each single wire of a multi-cable to be measured 2, and the serial code signal is sent out from each terminal of a signal sending part 1 to each signal wire, and a code signal received by each terminal of a signal receiving part 3 is discriminated, to thereby execute discrimination of the existence of normality, a disconnection, an erroneous wiring or a short circuit in the connection state of each single wire of the multi-cable 2.
