PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection method and an inspection device of a printed board capable of determining even a position of a short circuit or disconnection of a wiring pattern. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with an oscillator 18, a test head 12 equipped with a contact 14 connected to the oscillator 18, and put into contact with a point of a wiring pattern of a printed board 10, for applying an oscillation signal from the oscillator 18, and sensors 22 arranged in great numbers linearly at prescribed angles, and also equipped with a sensor head 20 for scanning the wiring pattern of the printed board 10 in the direction perpendicular to the arranged direction of the sensors 22 and for detecting an electromagnetic wave emitted from the wiring pattern on each required scanning position, a receiver 24 for inputting a detection signal from the sensor 22 of the sensor head 20, a memory for storing a reception signal output from a wiring pattern used as a reference, and a processing part 26 for determining a short circuit or disconnection of the wiring pattern by comparing a reception signal output from the receiver 24 of the wiring pattern on the printed board to be inspected with the reference signal output stored in the memory.
