<p>The invention relates to a clamping jaw for clamping devices of machine tools, comprising at least one clamping surface which is allocated to a predetermined diametral clamping range and which has at least one tooth. The aim of the invention is to improve a clamping jaw of this type in such a way that it can be used universally but is still economical to produce and in such a way that it guarantees secure clamping within a predetermined clamping range. To this end, the tooth is configured on the lateral surface of a cylindrical insert (20) which is captively arranged in a corresponding cylindrical recess (15). Said recess is configured on the middle axis and/or symmetrically with both sides of the middle axis and is open to the clamping surface. The recess is configured in the clamping jaw at an approximate right angle to the front face (16) of the clamping jaw starting from said front face, in such a way that the insert (20) protrudes beyond the clamping surface at least with its tooth (21) and is encompassed by the wall of the recess (15) on an angle of contact of more than 180°.</p> |
