PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve drainage and gas permeability in a joined body of an electrolyte film and an electrode for a fuel cell. SOLUTION: Carbon particles 26 are coated on to surface of an electrolyte film 22, and then a plurality of carbon fibers 24 for supporting a catalyst are implanted at an angle of approximately 90 deg. on the surface of the electrolyte film 22 by using an electric field implanting technique. Because of the implantation of the carbon fibers 24 at an angle of approximately 90 deg., a joined body 20 has high drainage from the electrolyte film 22 and high permeability of gas to the electrolyte film 22. Conductivity in a surface direction of the electrolyte film 22 is secured by coating the carbon particles 26 on the electrolyte film 22. |
