SQUEEZE ROLLER FOR LIQUID TONER TYPE IMAGE FORMING DEVICE AND MANUFACTURE OF SQUEEZE ROLLER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a squeeze roller by which uniform pressure can be obtained even when a load imposed on the roller is changed. SOLUTION: This squeeze roller 1 is constituted of a roller part 2 and a shaft part 3. The shaft part 3 is closely brought into contact with a ring-like projected line part 7 formed in the circumference of the center in a shaft direction so that the center thereof is aligned with that of the roller part 2 in the shaft direction and fixed by a metallic pin 6 at the center of a metallic tube 4 in the shaft direction. A cavity is formed between the shaft part 3 and the roller part 2 except a part where the tube 4 and the projected line part 7 are closely brought into contact with each other. The tube 4 is provided with a thickness corresponding to a material so as to be deflected in an amount coinciding with the deflection amount of a backup roller giving pressure. The diameter of the shaft part 3 other than the projected line part 7 is set so that the shaft 3 is not brought into contact with the inside surface of the tube 4 even when the tube 4 is deflected by receiving the load at a printing time.
