PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a wet type image forming device and a wet type image forming method by which a liquid component is separated and extracted from residual liquid eliminated from the surface of an image carrier or at least one surface out of the surfaces of the image carrier and an intermediate transfer body after a transfer action is executed so that it can be recycled. SOLUTION: Eliminated and recovered liquid developer is passed through a open cell type foaming body 41 being as a liquid diffusion suppressing member toward the upper part from the lower part in the vertical direction. The foaming body 41 is disposed between electrodes 43 and 44 where an electric field is generated and provided with pares. At the terminating part of the electrode being the flowing-out part of carrier liquid, the carrier liquid is made to flow out along the end part of the electrode 43 at a non-electrodeposition side. Then, a surface out of the side surfaces of the foaming body 41 which is not brought into contact with the above mentioned flat electrode and both end parts of the upper surface of the foaming body 41 being the flowing-out part of the carrier liquid are covered so that the flowing-out area of the carrier liquid is made narrow. Thus, since the solid part of toner is prevented from being leaked from the side surface and the upper surface of the foaming body 41 and prevented from flowing out together with the carrier liquid because it is taken in the flow of the carrier liquid, the pure carrier liquid can be extracted. |
