PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber connecting method capable of connecting a pair of plural optical cables at the same time and using an anisotropic light guide resin to prevent a light from interfering between the optical cables. SOLUTION: This connecting method has a process for sandwiching connecting parts 5 of plural optical cables 4 to be connected between anisotropic optical guide resins 1, of which each is dispersed with light-transmissive beads 3 in a resin 2 containing a light-shielding dye, to be opposed each other, and a process for thermo-pressure-bonding the connecting parts 5 in a connecting direction via the resin 1, and a light guide 6 is formed only in the connecting direction.
