PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a silent ventilator for ventilating gas supplied from a ventilation fan while muffling sound propagating through the gas. SOLUTION: A fan 4 and an air compressor 5 are disposed in a duct 3 provided with multiple vents 7 in the side face being coupled with a liquid tank 8. The duct 3 is coupled with the liquid tank 8 filled with liquid 9. A gas supplied by means of the ventilation fan 4 is introduced under pressure into the duct 3 along with sound propagating through the gas and ejected into the liquid 9 from the vents 7. Consequently, the gas is sliced by the vents 7 and hermetically sealed bubbles are produced through action of the vents 7 and the liquid 9. The bubbles float onto the surface of the liquid and disappear. The ventilator is provided with a muffler for separating the gas on the noise source side and the gas to be discharged from the bubbles before the gas is discharged to the outside.
