1429164 Liquid detergent compositions PROCTER & GAMBLE CO 4 July 1974 [5 July 1973] 29687/74 Heading C5D Liquid detergent compositions comprise (a) from 20 to 70% by weight of the composition of one or more non-ionic surfactants produced by the condensation of from 5 to 11 moles of ethylene oxide with one mole of C 14 -C 16 alcohol, and having an HLB of 10 to 14, (b) an anionic surfactant which is one or more salts of a C 9 -C 15 alkyl benzene sulphonic acid, the weight ratio of (a) to (b) being 1À8 : 1 to 3À5 : 1 calculated on the free acid form of (b), and (c) at least 1% by weight of the composition of monoethanolamine, diethanolamine, triethanolamine or a mixture thereof. The compositions are heavy-duty washing compositions for natural and synthetic fabrics. They may be used without builders and fatty acid-based stabilizers. The compositions may also contain ethanol, potassium chloride, brighteners, perfume, dyes and citric acid. They may be applied directly to fabric strains prior to washing or diluted with water to provide a wash liquor at a concentration of from 0À08 to 0-2%. |
