PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint connector excellent in mounting workability. SOLUTION: This joint connector has two fitting states of a female connector housing 20 and a joint housing 30: a temporary fitting state for fitting shallower each other and a final fitting sate for fitting deeper to connect terminals 32 and 40. A jig inserting opening 25 is opened in the bottom of the female connector housing 20. The jig inserting opening 25 is opened in the temporary fitting state and closed in the true fitting sate by an insert inlet blocked part 35 provided on the joint housing 30. When a female side terminal metal 40 mounted on a cavity 21 is extracted in the temporary fitting state, an engagement release jig 51 is inserted from the jig inserting opening 25 in the open state to release the engagement of a lance 22, thereby the female terminal metal 40 can be extracted.
