PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the structure by slidably fitting a sliding body on the upper surface of a fire grate body, forming a nozzle hole between fire grates, and forming air outlet communicating with the nozzle hole between the front side lower end of the fire grate body and the front side upper end of the sliding body. SOLUTION: In this stair case sliding stoker 1, a fixed fire grate 2 and a movable fire grate 3 are alternately arranged in the longitudinal direction (refuse feeding direction, lateral direction), and the major sections of respective fire grates 2 and 3 are constituted of a fire grate body 4, an air passage 5, a sliding body 6, a nozzle hole 7, and an air outlet 8. Respective fire grates 2 and 3 are respectively attached onto fire bed frames 9 which are arranged in parallel in the longitudinal direction, and the fire bed frame 9 for the movable fire grate 3 among them, is attached to an operating frame. The operating frame is reciprocally driven in the longitudinal direction by a reciprocally driving device comprising a hydraulic cylinder and a link mechanism or the like, for the constitution.
