PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To unnecessitate manual help in operation to observe an object through a binocular telescope, operation to directly observe the object with naked eyes without through the binocular telescope and switching both of them. SOLUTION: The objective lens 1 and the ocular 2 of the binocular telescope are constituted of nearly semicircular lenses having horizontal lower edges 6 and 7 obtained by removing the lower half parts 4 and 5 of circular lenses, and supported by a supporting frame 8 having no part which substantially interrupts the field lower than the lower edges 6 and 7 of the lenses. In such a case, a head mounted tool for holding an optical system 3 constituted of the lenses 1 and 2 at the front position of both eyes of a human body, desirably a hat or the like, or an attaching device capable of detachably attaching the head mounted tool is attached to the supporting frame 8.
