PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain stable lighting condition for a long term, easily exchange an electrodeless discharge lamp, and prevent a trouble due to excessive temperature rise from generating, by integratedly constructing a luminaire body with an induction coil, constituting the luminaire body to comprise a luminaire receiving part and a cover body, and fixing the induction coil inside the luminaire receiving part. SOLUTION: A luminaire body 2 as the outer shell of luminaire 1 is formed into a nearly U-shaped section, and constituted of a metallic luminaire receiving part 3 downward opening and a cover body 8 formed out of translucent material and provided on the opened lower face. An induction coil 6 connected to a lead part 7 is provided close to the circumference of an electrodeless discharge lamp 4, and fixed to the inside of the luminaire receiving part 3 by adhesion or the like. Consequently, downward form change due to the weight of the induction coil 6 itself can be restrained, and hence the fixed position can be held for a comparatively long term. Meanwhile, the electrodeless discharge lamp 4 and the induction coil 6 are not integrated, and hence when the electrodeless discharge lamp 4 can be exchanged without detaching the induction coil 6.
