PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to safely house an optical disk into a case at the time of use and to fold a case small to a depth size below the diameter of an optical disk during nonuse. SOLUTION: This disk drive assembly is constituted by freely extensibly and contractably coupling a bottom cover 3 and a bottom slider 4, also freely extensibly and contractably coupling a top cover 5 and a top slider 6 freely openable and closably mounted at the upper parts of the bottom cover 3 and the bottom slider 4 and extending and contracting the bottom cover 3 relative to the bottom slider 4, thereby constituting the case 2 which is capable of extending and contracting the top cover 5 as well relative to the top slider 6. Such case is extended, by which a disk housing space 42 is formed in the case 2.
