PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an excreta obtaining means from accidentally expending, by making the excreta obtaining means wait at a prescribed storing position by a waiting means when a prescribed condition is satisfied. SOLUTION: A urine sampling arm 32 of a rim-mounting-type urine sampling unit 12 is driven by a urine sampling arm driving motor 23 by control of a controller 36 for a normal extending/storing action. Regardless whether a subject performs measurement or not, when he/she sits a seat or after that it leaves the seat, the controller 36 controls the urine sampling arm 32 to automatically wait at a storing position. The subject, for measurement, operates the urine sampling arm 32 to be extended and poured with urine, an electrode 34 deposited in the urine sampling arm 32 detects the urine, and then, the controller 36 controls the urine sampling arm 32 to automatically wait at the storing position. When the electrode 34 has not detected the urine even after a given period since the extension of the urine sampling arm 32, the controller 36 similarly controls the urine sampling arm 32 to wait at the storing position.
