<p>A method of determining and tracking the position of a vehicle occupant and secondary targets includes the following steps. A signal (T1) of determinable period is transmitted toward the vehicle occupant and a reflection of said signal is received. A first index of data is generated and stored indicative of the time any received signal that exceed a determinable threshold. The data within the first index is separated into definable data groups indicative of individual received signals representing potential targets. In relation to each transmitted signal (T1) a common group time of receipt (Tc) is determined for each data group. The group time of receipt to the position of the main target and secondary targets vehicle occupant is correlated.</p> |
