PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a fully duplex communication line at a low cost by preventing a signal lighted from its own equipment from being detected by a light receiving section due to scattering or reflection of the light. SOLUTION: This optical communication equipment has a light emitting section 17 consisting of a light emitting element 4 that conducts optical transmission processing and of a transmission polarization filter 1 that is provided to a front face of the light emitting element 4, and has a light receiving section 18 consisting of a light receiving element 5 that conducts optical transmission processing and a reception polarization filter 2 provided to the front face of the light receiving element 5. An optical shut means 3 is provided between the light emitting section 17 and the light receiving section 18, and the polarization direction of the transmission polarization filter 1 is orthogonal to the polarization direction of the reception polarization filter 2. |
