METHOD FOR CONTROLLING CACHE PRIORITY IN DISTRIBUTED FILE SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cache priority controlling method which accomplishes a high cache hit ratio in an environment where a plurality of users share and use one cache area of a distributed file system. SOLUTION: A user logging in, a log in user table 126 storing cache total quantity used by the user and a cache block table 127 storing a user referring to each block in a cache area are provided on a client machine 120, and a user who logs in/logs out is monitored. When the user logs out, a block that is referred to only by the user who logs out is preferentially released by using the tables.
