PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of stably carrying recording material regardless of the existence or absence of an image on the recording material and outputting a high-quality image having neither wrinkle nor image defect. SOLUTION: This image forming device is provided with an image forming part for forming the image on the recording material and a fixing part 7 fixing the formed image and ejecting the recording material to the outside of the device, and the fixing part 7 is constituted to include a part of fixing carrying means (fixing roller 72 and pressure roller 73) carrying the recording material while holding it with a heating means in between, and a driving transmitting means transmitting driving given from the outside to the fixing carrying means. Then, the fixing part 7 is constituted so that driving can be inputted in either (fixing roller 72) of a pair of fixing carrying means from the driving transmitting means, and provided with a selection means (torque limiter 114b) selecting whether or not the driving is transmitted to the other fixing carrying means (pressure roller 73).
