PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing the silver halide emulsion capable of stably obtaining high sensitivity in manufacturing the silver halide photographic emulsion for forming the silver halide grains by using water-soluble iridium or rhodium. SOLUTION: The silver halide photographic emulsion is prepared by forming the silver halide grains by using the water-soluble iridium or rhodium containing the total weight of Mn, Cr, Fe, and Si atoms <=3 times as much as the total weight of Sn and Ru atoms.
