PLATE TYPE HEAT EXCHANGER AND REFRIGERATING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate type heat exchanger which is free from refrigerant leakage. SOLUTION: A plate type heat exchanger is constituted by arranging a plurality of plates 1 for heat exchange in a state where the plates 1 are faced oppositely to each other so that heat exchange may take place between a refrigerant and water (or brine). Each plate 1 is constituted of a metallic plate having a plurality of projections 7 longitudinally extended in parallel on one surface between openings 6 and 6 provided at both end sections in the longitudinal direction and a zigzag heat transfer tube 2 extended in the longitudinal direction and fitted to the other surface. The plates 1 are assembled in such a way that adjacent plates 1 are brought into contact with the heat transfer tube 2 and projections 7, and seal the tube 2 and projections 7 with their peripheral sealing sections 4 in a state where both ends of the tubes 2 are protruded from the sections 4, by using one opening of the first plate as a water inlet and the other opening 6 as a water outlet. Then the refrigerant is supplied to each heat transfer tube 2 and water is supplied from the water inlet 6 of the first plate 1 and made to flow out from the water outlet 6 of the first plate 1 through the space between the plates 1.
