<p>A hydraulic tensioning system (25) for nuts (21) on studbolts (19) has a puller bar (35) and a puller buddy (37) which are coupled to the studbolt (19), and a bridge (38) around the nut (20). The puller bar (35) is internally coupled to the studbolt (19) and the puller buddy (37) is externally coupled to the studbolt (19) (and may engage the nut (20) before the tension is applied). The nut (20) can comprise a cone nut (21) which co-operates with a complementary collar or shell (23) with a conical inner face (23a) and a spherical base washer (25).</p> |
